Ghorepani

Ghorepani is a Country side situated in Dhaulagiri Zone and Myagdi district of northen central part of Nepal. This place is nomenclatured as “ghorepani” since it has got an interesting history. People say this place used to be a good spot for traders to feed water(paani) for their horses(ghoraa) that’s how it was named as Ghorepani.

Poonhill

Poon Hill is a very good Station to observe wide range of mountains that lies at 3210m. From the top of the ridge , one can enjoy the panoramic view of  majestic Annapurna Range, Mt. Dhaulagiri(8167m), Mt. Machhapuchhre(6993m), Gangapurna, Tukuche and also the  surrounding alluring peaks. 

Ghorepani Poonhill Trekking which is also well known for the Name Annapurna sunrise trekking or Annapurna Panorama trekking. It is extremely popular not only for the gorgeous ethnic villages but also for relatively smooth treks.Although this trek Needs considerably uphill walk almost for an hour ,the bewildering nature of the diverse villages and ist uniqueness will definately be sucessfull to embrace everyones heart. An interesting part of the trekking during spring Season(march,april,may) is one can enjoy the different species of Rhododendron. There are more than Thirty species of Rhododendron found in Nepal . Among them, seven varities of Colors and sizes can be seen and enjoyed only in this trekking which is really an Incredible Thing. Moreover this will also let you provide the oppertunity to get close to the local People and culture.

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu

Our representative will Pick up from Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu, and transfer to the hotel.In Hotel we introduce the guide and talk about the trek and arrange the stuff which you need while trekking.

Day 2Free Day

This day you can rest or do Shopping for trekking and if you want to do sightseeing than we can arrange you for the sightseeing in Swayambhunath Buddhist Monastery, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Boudhanath Monastery and Pashupatinath. These all tour destinations are world heritage sites designed by UNESCO world heritage. You can see typical features of different locations. After finishing the tour, you have to prepare for upcoming trekking and we will introduce the guide and do short briefing.

Day 3Drive to Pokhara

After having Breakfast in Hotel, we drive towards Pokhara from Kathmandu in the Morning by tourist bus that may take up to 7/8 hours, with breaks on the way at beautiful places (Who wants to have it faster can book a flight to Pokhara for an extra charge).
We drive to the Fewa lake and the quieter city of Pokhara.

Day 4Drive to Nayapul and trek to Tikhedhunga (1525 m)

Early in the We start in the incredible nature of Nepal with a short drive to Nayapul. After driving a while from naudanda we can see the hole Annapurna range and awesome view of Machapuchare ,To get in the mood for our tour, we hike through small traditional Gurung villages and past fields mostly straight forwards through rice fields to reach our destination Thikedunga.

Day 5Trekking to Ghorepani (2775m)

Most Beautiful and scenery view along the stairs way and with refreshing forest lead up to the old Magar village Ullerie. Here it is time for a lunch break. After the delicious freshly cooked food we continue our journey on, usually past rice terraces and through many small tea shops, villages,dense rhododendron forest to the Ghorepani.

Day 6hikking to Poon Hill (3210m and trekking to Tadapani

This day we start very early drinking only tea from the lodge with cold air through the bridge which goes only uphill to Pun-Hill A sunrise in the morning with views of Dhaulagiri range, Machapuchare and the Annapurna range is the highlight by the sun light you will experience a sunrise of a special kind, which makes the mountains shimmer in many colours. After this fantastic view we start to the day, leave this beautiful place and come back to Ghorepani for a late breakfast. Continue to the trek through dense forest upto place called Himalaya and we descend to Banthati and after that we have to ascend a few hundred of meters until Tadapani.

Day 7Trekking to Ghandruk (2000m)

After breakfast we descend through the dense forest which bloom in the spring and looks like a garden of colourful flowers offer a number of photo opportunities. we reach the largest villages of Gurung resident in Nepal. Typically for the region, Take the opportunity to visit the small Gurung Museum if you like.

Day 8Trekking to Landruk (1680m)

After breakfast, we continue the way down hill to the river and after crossing the bridge we continue uphill to landrung village through rice field. Take a breathe and we will work our way up to Landruk. This day would be very beautiful day to experience the way of life of the local people.

Day 9Trekking to Dhampus (1770m)

After breakfast,we continue our journey Through thick subtropical vegetation, with consistently glorious perspectives on the Annapurna massif, we ascend up to Deu-rali have some tea and descend through the ridge down to Dhampus.

Day 10 Trekking to Phedi and drive to Pokhara

After breakfast,we continue our journey through the millet and soya fields we walk towards Phedi, where our vehicle is waiting. One last little wistful look to the holy Mt. Machapuchare and we start towards Pokhara. The farewell to the mountains we sweeten with some small interesting sightseeing stops. On the program: the Tibetan Refugee Camp with adjoining monastery, the Matepani monastery, the gorge on Seti River and finally the Bindha Basini temple.

Day 12Drive by Tourist Bus to Kathmandu

While driving back to Kathmandu, This trip could be considered one of the best, cherishing moment with lots of views alongside rivers, Forest and Hills/. While driving on the tourist bus to Kathmandu, is interesting to watch. (For a surcharge, a flight is possible). Rest of the day free time.

Day 11Free day in Kathmandu

We will have the rest day and free day in Kathmandu where you can buy souvenir and gifts from Nepal to your friends and family. you will be carrying lots of memories with trekking and adventure activities in Nepal.

Day 14Departure

Our representative will drop you at Tribhuvan International Airport according to your flight schedule.
