Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu

We pick you up from the airport and escort you to the hotel. There you will also meet your travel companion during a tour meeting.

Day 2A whole day in Kathmandu

Kathmandu is colorful and lively, makes you curious and leaves a lasting impression. Holy places of Hindus and Buddhists, historic temples and last but not least a colorful, traditional mixture of peoples – that is Kathmandu, what we show you and what is unforgettable. Whether the King’s Square in the heart of the city, Swayambunath high above the sea of ​​houses, the sanctuary of the Hindus in Pashupatinath or Boudanath the largest stupa outside Tibet, culture and customs can not be more diverse.

Day 3Drive to Pokhara

We leave the turbulent Kathmandu behind us and start an entertaining, but longer trip of 7 to 8 hours with the tourist bus in the rather contemplative Pokhara. While we invite you to a small boat trip on the Fewa Lake, the anticipation of the coming hiking days will be awakened, with a view of the imposing mountains.

Day 4Trekking start to Tikhedhunga (1525 m)

We start in the incredible nature of Nepal with a short drive to Nayapul. To get in the mood for our tour, we hike through small traditional Gurung villages and past fields mostly uphill.

Day 5Trekking to Ghorepani (2775m)

Many natural stone steps through a magnificent rhododendron forest lead up to the old Magar village Ullerie. Here it is time for a lunch break. After the delicious freshly cooked food we hike on, usually past rice terraces and through many small quaint villages, to the passport Ghorepani, which means – horse water – means.

Day 6Panoramic view from Poon Hill (3210m)

A sunrise in the morning with views of Dhaulagiri, Machapuchare and the Annapurnakette is the highlight of your tour. Quite in peace you will experience a sunrise of a special kind, which makes the mountains shimmer in many colors. After this fantastic start to the day, leave this beautiful place and come back to Ghorepani for a late breakfast. Continue to hike until Tadapani.

Day 7Trekking according Ghandruk (2000m)

The beautiful village of Ghandruk, in the middle of the Khola valley, is reached by mystical rhododendron forests, which bloom in the spring and offer an infinite number of photo opportunities. With a descent we start the day to the largest Gurung settlement in Nepal. Typically for the region, the trail winds steeply up again until we reach our destination for the day. Take the opportunity to visit the small Gurung Museum.

Day 8Trekking to Landruk (1680m)

The daily goal seems close enough and within sight. But first a gorge must be overcome to reach the next overnight lodge. It descends steeply to the Kola River, which is crossed by a suspension bridge. Take a breather and we will work our way up to Landruk.

Day 9Trekking to Dhampus (1770m)

Unfortunately, the last full day of trekking begins today. Through dense subtropical vegetation, with always
magnificent views of the Annapurna massif, we descend through Bhambuswald down to Dhampus.

Day 10 Back to Pokhara

Past millet and soy fields we walk towards Phedi, where our car is waiting. One last little wistful look to the holy Machapuchare and we start towards Pokhara. The farewell to the mountains we sweeten with some small interesting sightseeing stops. On the program: the Tibetan Refuge Camp with adjoining monastery, the Matepani monastery, the gorge on Seti River and finally the Bindha Basini temple.

Day 11 Relaxation at the Fewa lake

We have enough time in peace to visit the city. From the Devis case over the Gupteshor Mahadev cave, we also come to the World Peace Stupa, which towers over the lake. As a small highlight, we visit the International Mountain Museum, with the extremely interesting exhibition on everything the Himalayas. Rest of the day is free.

Day 12 Return to Kathmandu

The Nepalese everyday life, considered while driving on the tourist bus to Kathmandu, is interesting to watch. (For a surcharge, a flight is possible). Rest of the day free time. In the evening we invite you to a farewell dinner.
