Breathtaking views of the ice giants of the Himalayas and a guest of this hospitable people – this is pure Nepal.

This trekking route leads along one of the most culturally diverse regions of Nepal. You walk through traditional Tamang villages, cross the high Laurebina Pass in the middle of gigantic mountains and visit with the Gosainkunda Lakes one of the holiest Hindu places.

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu

From the airport, where we receive you, we accompany you to the hotel. There you will also get to know your travel guide and we will discuss the last details of the tour.

Overnight at the hotel (F)

Day 2Departure to Syabru Besi

We start with the private jeep to Syabru Besi. On the way, a longer stop is made for dinner. Arrived in the village, we will sleep there one night before it goes to the next morning in the mountains.

Day 3Trekking to Lama Hotel (2440m)

It goes into the Langtang National Park. We start our beautiful tour through wooded area upwards to Lama Hotel.

Day 4Trekking start to Langtang (3330m)

Rhododendron forests, very colorful blooming in the spring and an elongated valley from Ghora Tabela, with first views of the dominant there mountain Langtang Lirung (7225m), are part of today’s hiking day to Langtang.
Overnight Lodge (B / L / D) Hiking time: 6 to 7 hours

Day 5Trekking to Kyanjing Gumba (3730m)

A day, quite easy and short, where it usually goes straight through the high valley on many Mani walls. At noon in the overnight lodge, after a tea break, we head back to the Lirung Glacier. A short trip that also serves better acclimatization.

Day 6Summit excursion to the Tsergo Ri (4984m)

We take our time and conquer the local mountain. The road is not always easy, especially long stretched. Towards the end, big boulders that we have to overcome for the last hour make the ascent not easy. But at the top you have one of the most beautiful views of the Langtang chain in the region. On the way we look for a sheltered place and picnic.

Day 7 Trekking to Lama Hotel (2440m)

The route back is known from the way, so no less interesting. So we run today for a very long time to the finish. However, the route is rather easier, as it usually goes straight out and downhill.

Day 8Trekking to Thulo Syabru (2210m)

The small elongated village with its mountain monastery is located directly on a slope. Further down the valley, we gather forces to walk steeply up through the woods and terraced fields for the last 2 hours until we reach the lodge.

Day 9 Trekking to Shin Gompa (3250m)

About mountain meadows and dense forest, it continues on steeply. In a clearing with a beautiful view far to Tibet, we recover during the lunch break a bit of the hardships. Until the small charming town of Shin Gompa, which has a yak cheese dairy and a very old small monastery, the road is much more relaxed than before, usually only straight ahead. Be sure to try the delicious yak cheese, which you can also buy in the small dairy after a visit.

Day 10Trekking to Gosainkunda (4420m)

The road is difficult to Laurebina, where we will stop for lunch. But it continues on ways whose mountain views are simply beautiful. Whether Ganesh Himal, the Annapurna chain of the Manaslu, the sight is fantastic. The last part of the route, after a steep climb, is one of the most beautiful here. The path past large rock formations and the first of the sacred lakes is sensational.

Day 11Summit storm to Surya Peak and Overnight at Phedi (5150m)

Who wants to crack the 5000 meter mark with us today. Past the holy lakes the way to the summit winds through a unique panorama. Yes it is difficult, but with many breaks and in peace, we are soon at the summit decorated with many colorful prayer flags. Back down we make another round around the most holy lake and return exhausted but happy to the lodge in Goisakunde. If you want to leave out the summit, you have the opportunity today to let all the straight or to start a short hike around the lakes.

Day 12 Trekking to Ghopte (3430m)

It goes up again and once again we need a lot of energy. We pass the Laurebina Pass at 4610 meters. Then it’s easier to go downhill again to the overnight lodge in Ghopte.

Day 13Trekking to Mangengoth (3250m)

The spring enchants our way into a colorful sea of ​​flowers, the many rhododendron trees that grow here. But also at other seasons, the route along the Helambu chain is a pleasure.

Day 14Trekking to Gol Bhanjyang (2160m)

Over Kutumsang we descend through adventurous forests with the fantastic sight on snow covered mountains.

Day 15Trekking to Chisapani (2215m)

Village life in Nepal and experience up close how the inhabitants master their everyday life here, we take with us on beautiful nature trails to Chisapani.

Day 16Trekking to Nagarkot (2195m)

Dense forests and jungle feeling we have in Shivapuri Reserve National Park, where we hike today. In Narakot there is the perfect end of the day and the tour. The sunset observed from the hotel terrace is a great natural spectacle.

Day 17Hike to Dhulikel and drive to Kathmandu

At the end of the fantastic tour we say goodbye to the Himalayas with the last hike to Dhulikel. There our car waits, which brings us back to the bustling Kathmandu after days of rest.

Alternatively, it is also possible for Nagarkot to return to Kathmandu the day before. This option could easily be combined with a visit to Bhaktapur before you finally reach Kathmandu again. The price would change then. Please inform us, you should prefer this variant.
