Detailed Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Kathmandu

We look forward to welcoming you at the airport and accompany you to your hotel. Surely you are curious when your trekking tour to the Annapurna base camp starts? The latest information is available at the hotel during a small gathering where you will also get to know your guide.

Overnight at the hotel (F)

Day 2Preparation Day

Day 3We drive to Pokhara

We drive to the Fewa lake and the quieter city of Pokhara. A longer, but not less interesting ride on the tourist bus, is ahead of us. 7 to 8 hours, with many breaks, the bus needs. (Who wants to have it faster can book a flight to Pokhara for an extra charge). At the end of the afternoon we invite you to a boat trip on the lake. In good weather, the ice-covered mountains are reflected in the water.

Overnight at the hotel (F)

Day 4Trekking start to Tikhedhunga (1450m)

Before it goes into the mountains, we drive a bit by car to the starting point in Nayapul. Once there we get ready for the tour. Many natural stone pitchers and a uniquely colorful subtropical vegetation are our companions until the end of the day.

Overnight in Lodge (B / L / D) Hiking time approximately: 5 hours

Day 5Trekking to Ghorepani (2835m)

Bombastic views of Machapuchare and Annapurna await you today. But the path continues uphill, through rhododendron forests that bloom in spring in a variety of colors and also natural stairs. In Ullerie, the small Magar village, we enjoy the delicious lunch before moving on past fields to the Ghorepani pass.

Overnight in Lodge (B / L / D) Hiking time approximately: 8 hours

Day 6Poon Hill (3210m) and trekking to Tadapani (2670m)

A fantastic start to the day. It is still dark when you leave for Poon Hill. What she expects? An impressive spectacle. The slowly rising sun makes Machapuchare, Dhaulagiri and Annapurna shine and awaken in the most beautiful orange tones. A dream panorama, with plenty of time to experience all this in peace. Breakfast will be served later today, after you have returned to the lodge. But quite extensively. Then we prepare for the way to Tadapani.

Overnight in Lodge (B / L / D) Hiking time approximately: 9 hours (with Poon Hill)

Day 7Trekking to Chomrong (2170m)

We walk through dense forest to the village of Chomrong, idyllically situated on a slope above the Khola gorge. From here we have a fantastic view of the Annapurna mountain range and the holy Machapuchare.
Overnight in Lodge (B / L / D) Hiking time approximately: 7 hours

Day 8Trekking to Dobhan (2600m)

Many steps down into the valley, which of course have to be climbed again after crossing the river to Sinwa Danda. The following path through a beautiful shady bamboo forest is a bit more pleasant until we arrive in Bamboo for lunch break. From here it is not far to Dobhan, especially as the Machapuchare shows always beautiful views.

Overnight in Lodge (B / L / D) Hiking time approximately: 8 hours

Day 9 Trekking to Deurali (3200m)

A relatively short day of hiking with many fantastic views of snow-capped Himalaya mountains. Through an ever-narrowing valley, we now walk the tree line and the landscape becomes barren. After rest at Himalaya Hotel, it’s a steep climb up to Deurali.

Overnight in Lodge (B / L / D) Hiking time approximately: 5 hours

Day 10On to the Annapurna base camp (4130m)

To fortify yourself in the Machapuchare base camp, surrounded by 6000’000 and 7000’000 mountains, at lunch for the rest of the way, you first cross a small valley, which opens more and more. From here it is not far to the Annapurna base camp, the highlight of the tour. Of course, it goes steadily uphill and the thinner air makes the steps more difficult. But the impressive backdrop that resembles an amphitheater is colossal.

Overnight in Lodge (B / L / D) Hiking time approximately: 7 hours

Day 11 Way back to Dobhan (2600m)

You have to get up early. But the bombastic sunrise in front of one of the highest mountains in the world and an impressive mountain backdrop, is worth getting up early. Even when it’s cold, enjoy this natural spectacle in the face of Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Hinchuli and the holy Machapuchare. After breakfast and a hot cup of tea, we hike downhill to Dobhan.

Overnight Lodge (B / L / D) Hiking time approximately: 7 hours

Day 12Trekking to Chomrong (2170m)

The way down is the same as a few days before. But no less interesting. Through rustic forests and class landscapes.

Overnight in Lodge (B / L / D) Hiking time approximately: 5 hours

Day 13Trekking to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara

The last trekking lessons through idyllic villages to Nayapul have begun. Tell Bye to the mountains. In Nayapul the car is waiting and it goes back to Pokhara. We take the opportunity and make a short stop at the Tibetain Refuge Camp with its beautiful Gumba before we finally drive to the hotel.

Overnight at hotel (B / L) Hiking time approximately: 6 hours

Day 14We drive back to Kathmandu

By tourist bus we go back to Kathmandu. Again, there is the possibility to book a flight (surcharge), which instead of 7 to 8 hours of bus travel with a flight time of only 30 minutes. Talk to us if you are interested.

Overnight at the hotel (F)

Day 15Free Day in Kathmandu

How about getting close to Everest in the air? Every morning you have the chance to do one of the mountain flights along the Himalayas . Our proposal for today would be a trip to Bhaktapur. The small town has one of the most historically beautiful places in the Kathmandu valley, even though the last earthquake has caused great damage here. Time seems to have stopped here and so you can find ancient temples, pagodas and shrines with the finest woodcarvings. You can also enjoy this tour together with us.

Overnight at the hotel (F)

Day 16Departure

On time we accompany you from the hotel back to the international airport for your journey home. But maybe you want to discover more? Then take a look at our connection tours.
